BE FAITHFUL AND TRUE TO YOURSELF

Two Christians were lost in the Sahara desert on their way to Libya.  One was David and the other was Christian. They were terribly dying of hunger and thirst when they suddenly came upon an oasis with what looked like an emirate with a mosque in the middle.  David said to Christian  "Let's pretend as if we are Muslims otherwise we will not get food or drink.  I am going to call myself Muhammed Gambo"!  Christian refused to change his name  "My name is Christian and I will NOT pretend to be what I am not.

When they got there, the Imam of the Mosque received both of them well and asked for their names.  David said  "My name is Mohammed Gambo" but Christian said  "My name is  Christian."  The Imam turned to the helpers of the Mosque and said  "Please bring some food for Christian only.

Then he turned to the other and said  "Well Muhammed, I hope you are aware that we are still in the month of Ramadan?  The guy fainted.

No matter the circumstance in life, please be faithful and true to yourself.

WHAT TO DO WHEN ROBBERS STRIKE

Armed Robber

WHAT TO DO WHEN ROBBERS STRIKE
The following is what the Police counsel in the event that robbers manage to enter on to your premises or inside your house.  Read the tips and help save a life.
1.     Robbers typically launch their attacks from the backdoor (normally kitchen doors) because they are usually not fortified.  Get good doors for your kitchen.  Use crossbars at the back or  “burglarproof” behind the doors inside the house.  If you have keys to the burglarproof, never leave them inside the lock.  Where possible, use a padlock in addition to the keys.  The purpose is to make it as difficult as possible for the robbers to enter into the house and to buy you time to call somebody for help.
22   When you hear someone breaking your doors, unless you are absolutely sure your actions will prevent entry into the house, don’t try to be a hero by pushing back behind the doors (they may shoot at you through the doors) or putting heavy items like freezers or furniture behind (they get angry and when they are able to finally enter they are more likely to be violent).
33.    If you sleep without clothes or with minimal clothing, dress up as soon as you hear them.  For the women especially, don’t stay in you nighties or wrappers. Wear trousers or an ugly top.
44.     If you call someone on the phone for help, keep the phone far from you as you don’t want it to be known that you’ve done so.
55     Look for your main power switch and plunge the building into darkness (it disorients them and may cause them to run away).
66.    If you have a gun, registered or not, use it but only if you are sure you will do damage. This isn’t the time for warning shots! Killing an intruder on your premises in defense of yourself and property is a legitimate legal defense. Same goes for the use of any other weapon  e.g. knives.
77.    When the robbers manage to enter, give them whatever they want. Don’t hide anything. Don’t try to be a hero or to negotiate with them.
88.    Don’t look at them directly (or don’t let them see you doing so). If you know any of them, don’t show any sign of recognition and don’t mention the person’s name.  However memorize whatever features you can to help with identification of investigation.
99.     When they finally leave your house, do not chase after them (yeah some people do that).
110. Be your neighbor’s keeper and if you hear any break-ins at their house, call the police for assistance.

RELAX, GOD IS IN CONTROL

INTRODUCTION:
It is an accepted fact that everybody on this planet earth becomes anxious about something at a certain point in time.  Anxiety is emotional condition in which there is fear and uncertainty about the future.

A.  WHO ARE AFFECTED BY ANXIETY?
i   Leaders like Presidents, Pastors, Chiefs and Kings, Pastors, Church Presiding Elders, Youth Leaders
etc. become anxious about how to improve upon their leadership.
ii.  The rich are anxious about how to get more richer.  They need to protect their wealth from  armed
robbers and fraudsters.  They secure their premises with burglar proof and security men day and
           night.
iii.   The poor are also anxious about how to make ends meet and look after their children with regards to
shelter, food, clothing and payment of school fees.

B.  THE RESULT OF ANXIETY
     i.  Anxiety will bring many sicknesses into your body.  If you think too much, your blood pressure will
rise and result in headache and some other diseases.
ii.  The word of God tells us in Matt. 6:27 that a cubit can never be added to our height by thinking.

C.  ALLOW GOD TO CONTROL YOUR LIFE
   i.  In Jeremiah 18, God likened human being to a clay being moulded by a potter.  If the clay is not soft
the potter cannot use it.  Relax for God to mould you and shape you the way He wants.

ii.  A visit to Blacksmith shop will teach you a great lesson.  The metal is refined by heating with fire.  This
shows that if we are passing through many problems and difficulties, we should depend on God to
       refine us.

CONCLUSION:
The  Bible admonishes us not to be anxious about anything but in everything, by prayer and petition
and with thanksgiving we must  present our request to the Almighty God.  By doing that the peace of         God that surpasses and transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in the name of
      JESUS.  (Phil. 4:6.7)
